A Publix Pharmacy Technician goes beyond simply dispensing medications—our technicians play a key role in our patients’ overall health and well-being.

Meat clerks focus on maintaining  quality lunch meat and cheese cases. Seafood clerks are responsible for maintaining quality seafood cases. Both clerks ensure proper presentation of their cases, sell products, offer consistent high quality customer service, and unload trucks.

Meat cutter trainees are devoted to providing the best customer service and the highest quality product possible. They cut and prepare meat as well as maintain, fill, and rotate product in meat cases, verify and unload meat deliveries from trucks, and clean equipment. They also greet customers and answer questions. Attention to detail is particularly important for meat cutter trainees because Publix has high standards of food safety, associate safety, and product quality. This role prepares trainees for meat cutter positions at Publix.

Publix Meat Cutters cut a wide variety of meats according to company policy and customer preference. Our Meat Cutters are devoted to providing the best customer service and the highest quality product possible.

From blooms to balloons, our Floral Clerks ensure proper care and presentation of our flower and plant products and balloons. They provide provide friendly assistance to customers who visit the Floral department in search of just the right gift or expression.

Teamwork is the key to success for entry-level Deli associates. They receive and organize Deli products, create sandwich masterpieces, prepare platters, and stock Grab & Go cases while working with their team to process online and in-person orders accurately and prepare them quickly. Providing excellent customer service is essential whether they’re greeting the customer, answering their questions, or recommending a product. Passion for helping others, ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain our high quality standards is desired.

Custodians are crucial in creating a safe shopping environment. They are responsible for performing custodial duties and minor maintenance jobs throughout the store. They also assist customers and provide premier customer service. 

Catering consultants are responsible for overseeing the event planning service at select retail locations. This includes consulting with businesses and home shoppers to plan various functions, working with departments to ensure orders are completed, and coordinating pick up and/or delivery of orders. Catering consultants also perform administrative duties to support the cooking schools where applicable.

Our cashiers play a critical role in providing premier customer service. As the most visible of our associates, they greet our customers and answer their questions in a friendly manner. We rely on them to ensure the correct price is charged for each item sold, provide the correct change, and handle other forms of currency. The desire to help others, take on other duties, and work on a team is key to this role’s success.

In this entry-level job, cake decorator trainees learn to create beautiful cakes, pies, and other desserts. As providers of excellent customer service, they work closely with customers and help them order cakes, answer questions, and make product recommedations. This role helps trainees prepare for a career as a Publix cake decorator.
