We are a team that is constantly incorporating modern technology into our toolset. We support both vendor and custom, proprietary applications. We are seeking a technical candidate that can develop and support quality applications while following best practices and has experience troubleshooting complex systems. This position includes performing systems analysis, presenting recommendations, coding in C#.net and SQL, documenting, maintaining and implementing applications through all development lifecycles. Further, the candidate should be able to perform in multiple roles over multiple projects simultaneously.

Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring 8 days per month on-site in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications as well as unique solutions for each application
  • Develop requirements and design documents that meet business objectives
  • Enhance critical interface applications that support the business area
  • Open communication with the business area, vendors, and other technical teams
  • Troubleshoot and support applications and daily business processes
  • Perform database analysis and data analytics
  • Willingness to work on-call rotations and after-hours support on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions that consider system performance, usability, quality, and cross-system interdependencies, and scalability
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and developing enterprise applications running in a multi-platform distributed environment
  • 5+ years designing enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and solution frameworks
  • 5+ years of development experience with the .NET framework, C#, and SQL
  • Experience with applications using .NET Core, and ASP.NET
  • Ability to effectively engage with business area and other teams and acquire technical knowledge to solve business problems
  • Experience in large enterprise environments involving multiple technical teams
  • Willingness to work on-call rotations and after-hours support on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and using APIs and Web Services
  • Experience with responsive web sites and JavaScript
  • Full-stack development experience with the .NET framework 4.5 or above including C#, MVC, and Kendo
  • Experience with NODE.JS and Twilio Flex
  • Experience with project planning and system development lifecycle
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, and Octopus Deploy
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with Azure Data Bricks and Data Lakes
  • Appreciation for the importance of strictly adhering to regulations and guidelines such as SOX, HIPAA, and PCI

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
