The Accounting Systems team is looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical Sr. Software Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on enhancing already in production complex systems and creating technical enhancements for manual business processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of full-stack development experience, demonstrate servant leadership qualities, and possess a desire to continuously learn.

Your Impact
- Partner with leadership, teammates, technology vendors, and business stakeholders—communicating clearly through email, meetings, and presentations
- Build and ship software in a collaborative, cross-functional agile team following SDLC best practices from design through deployment
- Turn data into insight by writing advanced queries, analyzing results, and presenting clear recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues end-to-end, improving reliability, performance, and scalability along the way
- Help shape solution design by contributing to architecture and technical specifications, validating feasibility, integrating with existing platforms, and delivering features with appropriate guidance
- Review code with an eye for quality; raising the bar on maintainability, performance, security, and engineering best practices
- Create clear, usable documentation for business processes, code, APIs, and system architecture so teams can move faster and with confidence
- Partner with stakeholders to capture business needs, map current workflows, identify improvements, and produce high-quality functional specs and process diagrams
- Translate requirements into well-defined user stories and design artifacts—balancing architecture, performance, and scalability goals
- Support live applications through production support rotation, helping keep critical systems stable and customers successful
- Ensure solutions meet security standards, change management processes, and applicable regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3+ years building services and applications with .NET Core (or .NET Framework 4.0+)
- 3+ years of full-stack web development using C#, MVC, Web API, and/or Microsoft Entity Framework
- 3+ years building modern UIs with Angular, React, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript fundamentals
- 3+ years designing enterprise solutions using OO analysis/design, design patterns, UML, SOA, or similar approaches
- 3+ years with SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, and advanced querying
- 3+ years translating business needs into scalable solutions in distributed environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (repos, boards, pipelines, and/or releases)
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of end-to-end full-stack web development
- 5+ years with data/process governance and SOX compliance in enterprise environments
- 3+ years partnering with architects and engineers to design and deliver technical solutions
- 3+ years with SQL Server and the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS)
- Strong Angular skills and experience with Telerik UI components
- Experience with Kendo UI, Kafka/MQTT messaging, and/or MS Access experience

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
