Join Publix’s Pharmacy Analytics & Compliance team and help shape the future of pharmacy technology, analytics, and regulatory compliance. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a strategic partner to business and technology leaders, leading the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and improve patient and business outcomes. You’ll drive complex, enterprise-scale initiatives from concept through implementation, influence key decisions, and collaborate across Pharmacy, Compliance, Analytics, and IT teams to transform business challenges into impactful solutions. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact within one of the nation’s most respected pharmacy organizations while helping define the future of healthcare technology and analytics.

Location: Hybrid (Lakeland, FL): To support our hybrid work model, candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a commutable distance of Lakeland, FL.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and translating complex enterprise business improvements, challenges, and processes into detailed business and technical requirements for technology solutions
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating solution alternatives with consideration for system performance, usability, quality, cross-system dependencies, scalability, risk, and total cost of ownership
  • 5+ years of experience planning, organizing, and managing activities associated with delivering technology solutions in large-scale, distributed enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with business and technical stakeholders to successfully deliver complex business and technology initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise relational database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or similar platforms
  • 5+ years of experience implementing large-scale data integration, transformation, analytics, and reporting solutions
  • Experience performing data analysis, data validation, root cause analysis, and interpreting results to support business decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business audiences and business requirements to technical teams
  • Experience leading cross-functional discussions, facilitating requirements gathering sessions, and driving solution delivery from concept through implementation
  • Experience supporting solutions that require adherence to security, audit, regulatory, privacy, or compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience analyzing complex enterprise business processes and translating business needs into scalable technology solutions
  • 7+ years of experience partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment
  • 7+ years of experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, analytics, compliance, or other regulated business environments
  • 7+ years of experience implementing large-scale data integration, transformation, analytics, and reporting solutions
  • 7+ years of experience working with relational databases and advanced SQL development, including data analysis, validation, and performance optimization
  • Experience performing complex data analysis, interpreting results, identifying trends, and communicating actionable insights to both technical and business audiences
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and implementing solutions that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics technologies
  • Experience implementing and maintaining solutions that utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities
  • Experience utilizing Azure DevOps or similar platforms for requirements management, backlog planning, Agile delivery, project tracking, and collaboration
  • Experience implementing enterprise applications utilizing Azure platform services and modern technologies, including Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Application Insights, Snowflake, microservices architectures, OpenAPI, Redis Cache, and cloud-based integration platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive solution delivery from concept through implementation
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, balancing business objectives, technical considerations, risk, scalability, and total cost of ownership when recommending solutions
  • Experience supporting pharmacy operations, pharmacy compliance, regulatory reporting, healthcare data exchange, audit controls, or pharmacy analytics solutions

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
