Description
The purpose of this position is to provide the Central Fill pharmacy team with support in filling prescriptions centrally. This position is largely responsible for operating and troubleshooting counting robots, collation robots, auto-bagger machines, and the sorter machine. The Pharmacy Warehouse Specialist is also tasked with manifesting, palletizing, and loading trailers with prescriptions for delivery to our retail stores, receiving and organizing supplies, and restocking prescription drugs to facilitate efficient filling by the Central Fill Pharmacy Technicians.
The impact this position has on Publix is driving successful execution of filling hundreds of thousands of prescriptions each week so that we may support retail pharmacies centrally, enhancing their ability to meet the prescription filling demand and maintain premier service for their customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Central Fill team with operating and troubleshooting prescription counting robots.
- Responsible for operating and troubleshooting auto-bagger machines.
- Responsible for orienting prescription bags properly for automated sorting by the sortation machine and troubleshooting the sortation machine.
- Responsible for electronically closing, reopening, and manifesting each tote on the sortation machine for warehouse delivery.
- Responsible for completing nightly final closing of all open totes to be manifested and prepared for delivery to the retail stores.
- Responsible for preparing, packing, and palletizing coolers containing cold chain product prescriptions for store delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Knowledge of retail pharmacy laws, rules, and operating policies and procedures
- Knowledge of retail pharmacy software, retail technology, or warehouse technology

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
