Description
The purpose of this position is to reconcile all retail sales tendered with a gift card, debit, or credit card. This position also reviews credit card chargebacks and disputes and manages, resolves and responds to customer and store inquiries involving Point-of-Sale (POS) and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transactions, as well as prepares related journal entries (JEs). This position also provides financial management services to enable and support information-based decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline with no relevant business experience or equivalent experience or
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 2 years relevant business experience or equivalent experience or
- High school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years relevant business experience or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to process a high volume of work accurately including good time management skills
- Must be flexible and highly productive
- Auditing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate a high-level of professionalism, self-motivation, maturity and tact
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability and willingness to show initiative
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel)
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint
- Willingness to show a high degree of flexibility and work extended hours (evenings and weekends), as necessary, to meet department needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline with 2 years EFT Accounting experience
- Knowledge of Accounting principles
- Knowledge of Banking Regulation E
- Knowledge of QIP methodology
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Access, PowerPoint)

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
