Description
- Working in a high volume customer services center responding to phone inquiries about Group Benefit Plans, i.e. health, life insurance, long term disability, voluntary benefit plans, Retirement and Stockholder Services,
- Prepare paperwork related to benefit requests and update associates’ information and
- Assist with a variety of other tasks within the benefits department as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls daily and process work accurately, timely and meet deadlines
- Professional telephone etiquette and probing skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and productively
- Be detail-oriented with good analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Ability to work well with others, remain positive and be an effective team member
- Obvious enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work and a

Preferred Qualifications
- Two years Publix retail customer service experience in an employee benefits administration department
- Call center experience
- Benefits experience
- General accounting skills
- Bilingual -Spanish a plus

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. The bonus for this position is 8 hours of pay when a new associate joins Publix prior to July 1. There is no bonus in the first year for associates hired after July 1. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to 8 hours’ pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
