Description

• Responsible for analyzing, auditing and maintaining OSHA recordkeeping information for retail and providing guidance to OSHA recordkeeping contacts to ensure Publix is compliant with federal laws relating to OSHA.
• Responsible for administering OSHA recordkeeping training to new non-retail OSHA contacts.
• Responsible for researching and analyzing changes in the recordkeeping standards and disseminating the information to non-retail OSHA contacts.
• Responsible for entering and updating safety codes in Publix’s claims system for retail stores.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Positive attitude
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publix Connection
• Knowledge of retail operations and processes
• Knowledge of general office procedures
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules
• Excellent planning and organizational skills

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
