Join Publix Technology as a Business Systems Analyst and become part of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Modernization team, designing, building, and implementing a robust application that supports Publix growing distribution network of 10 Distribution Centers and 33 warehouses. High level WMS functions include receiving and putting away product, managing inventory, processing and selecting store orders, shipping and loading product, and integrating product movement with host systems.

In this role, you will gather and translate business, data, and reporting requirements into user stories and actively drive delivery in support of WMS Modernization initiatives. You will participate in data migration from legacy and external systems into the Publix Enterprise Data Lake, including defining data mappings, data quality rules, and reconciliation requirements. You will partner with cross functional teams to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading, while enabling enterprise reporting and analytics through Power BI and analytics ready datasets.

Your impact:

  • Document requirements and document business, system, and data requirements with stakeholders
  • Analyze data sources, data flows, and analytical needs to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics use cases
  • Support data migration and transformation into enterprise data lakes and analytics platforms
  • Ability to analyze source systems, define target platforms, and build diagrams for document mapping between source and target systems
  • Champion product vision, prioritize backlog, and track deliverables for timely completion
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architecture teams to design scalable and governed data solutions
  • Partner with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Audit to design secure, reliable solutions
  • Develop detailed implementation plans for complex technology solutions
  • Diagnose issues and define escalation paths for complex problems
  • Oversee delivery processes: system access, data protection, and vendor engagement
  • Align proposed solutions with agreed scope and limitations across teams
  • Define acceptance criteria, conduct UAT, and validate deliverables
  • Advocate for business needs to ensure solutions meet user and process requirements
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions aligned with strategy
  • Provide after-hours deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate vendor resolutions
  • Facilitate requirements sessions and document business, system, and data requirements with stakeholders
  • Analyze data sources, data flows, and data quality to support enterprise reporting and Power BI dashboards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ business experience planning, organizing, and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing business, system, and data problems and translating them into actionable solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working with enterprise databases and analytical data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, data lakes, or cloud-based data platforms)
  • Working knowledge of ETL or data pipeline processes to connect to data sources and load to another system (e.g., Azure Databricks, SSIS)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working experience utilizing Agile project management and code management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira)
  • Working knowledge of reporting building concepts in an enterprise distributed environment (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Provide after-hours deployment support as needed, including issue analysis, root cause identification, workaround development, and coordination with vendors for resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of Business reports and systems concepts
  • Experience performing data analysis through creating and executing queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings to technical and business audiences
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master within an Agile Scrum framework and its application in product development and delivery
  • Experience with collaboration tools, like MIRO
