This National Pharmacy Month, we’re proud to spotlight Nga, a dedicated pharmacy manager whose passion and commitment have made a lasting impact on her patients and team at Publix.

Nga’s journey began in 2014 at Store 1144, where she started as a pharmacy technician. Eager to gain first-hand experience before committing to pharmacy school, Nga quickly discovered her fascination for how medicine works and the important+ role pharmacists play in people’s lives. “To me, being a pharmacist is a very meaningful career because our patients turn to us for trusted guidance,” Nga shares. “Pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals, and I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives by helping them understand their medications and conditions.”

Her dedication didn’t stop there. While attending pharmacy school, Nga continued working as a technician and intern, learning from experienced pharmacists and building the foundation for her own career. “I had the pleasure of working with a number of pharmacists, learning from them and their experience, which helped shape me into the pharmacist that I am today,” she says.

“What keeps me going every day is knowing that my work impacts the lives of my patients,” Nga explains. “Whether it’s over-the-counter recommendations or assisting patients with managing their chronic conditions, many patients trust their pharmacist’s advice as much as they trust their doctor.”

 When asked what she loves most about working for our pharmacy, Nga’s answer is clear: “The Publix culture. The associates care about the people who walk into the store and build trusting relationships with them. As the largest employee-owned company in the U.S., you are not just considered a number, but an owner of the company, which offers many benefits.”
