Description

To receive, stock, pick, dispatch and ship Parts/Equipment orders for internal and external customers to support our Retail stores, Coordinators, Mechanics, Technicians, Warehouses and Office buildings. This position is also responsible for receiving new, repaired, or faulty equipment by loading and unloading from delivery trucks and returning to stock in the designated areas.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one (1) year warehouse experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle before the start date in the position
• Ability to lift and maneuver 65 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before his or her start date in the position)
• Ability to operate a personal computer
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Working knowledge of website based shipping applications
• Working knowledge of inventory systems (CMMS) and processes
• Good telephone etiquette
• Interpersonal/Customer Service skills
• Problem solving skills
• Analytical skills
• Scheduled Monday to Friday between the hours of 5:00 am – 5:00 pm, some weekends and holidays, as needed
• Willingness to work in occasional temperature extremes

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two (2) years warehouse experience
• Previous experience operating a pallet truck and/or forklift
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Knowledge of Facilities equipment
• Experience with SAP

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
