Description
The main functions of a Printing/Mailing Warehouse Operator (primary work done in Mailing Services) include the shipping and receiving of Express packages (UPS, FedEx, etc.), and shipping finished goods orders, ensuring they are routed to the proper destination in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
A Warehouse Operator typically
• safely and efficiently operates all warehousing equipment, including tow-motors, pallet jacks, etc.,
• reviews and records accurate counts of materials to be received or shipped,
• ships confidential and time sensitive material to various locations within and outside of Publix,
• selects and packages material in a manner that ensures delivery without damage,
• keeps work area and equipment neat and clean,
• participates in process improvement projects and departmental safety efforts, and
• assists in other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• be at least 20 years of age
• have a good driving record
• possess excellent attendance and punctuality record
• possess good verbal and written communication skills
• have the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• have the ability to work a flexible schedule
• have the ability to work independently and productively with little supervision
• have the ability to read, write and perform basic math
• possess good problem solving skills
• have the ability to maneuver pallets ranging from 100 – 2000 pounds with a hand jack
• have the ability to successfully complete the Publix powered industrial truck training
• have the ability to lift weights up to 70+ pounds repetitively
• have the ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry for prolonged periods
• have the ability to work well with others and to be a team player
• show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
• show commitment to Publix and our mission and
• successfully complete the application and interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
• Have the ability to use a personal computer
• possess a working knowledge of Windows
• possess a working knowledge of inventory management

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
