Description
- Delivering premier customer service to associates and managers by providing administrative support for the department by managing time, payroll, injury reporting, transitional duty, and personnel administrative functions.
- Serving as a contact for HR related issues, managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring that the timekeeping system accurately records all “time worked” by non-exempt associates and paying associates appropriately,
- Managing the execution of personnel administration
- Providing support to other Publix departments and
- Providing clerical and administrative support for the Department Manager and supervisors, ensuring associates’ identity is protected and providing associate support.

Required Qualifications
- Be at least 20 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
- Be able to work nights
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- Have one year of office experience
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrate an ability in commonly used software (for example, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access)
- Be able to successfully complete battery of Clerical & Microsoft Skills tests (before his or her start date in the position)
- Be able to handle and prioritize a variety of tasks and responsibilities
- Be able to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Be able to read, write, and solve math problems
- Be able to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Be able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Lakeland Non-Refrigerated Distribution associate
- Have at least two years office experience

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
