Description
The purpose of this position is to conduct data analytics for various functional areas within Human Resources. This includes providing data analysis (including trends), creating reporting, and building database and reporting forms/templates relating to recruiting/staffing, promotion/step-backs (i.e., job changes), training/development, associate relations, and retention for use by various HR departments and other business areas and project teams
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing custom databases and reports that provide HR departments with information needed to make strategic business decisions
- Building/programming, maintaining, and managing various HR information systems related to staffing, training, and performance of Publix associates (e.g., AVS/Focus Store Dashboard, Annual Ethics Compliance, EAP Program Metrics, I/T Security Phishing Results)
- Assisting various HR areas (Retail AR, Support AR, EAP, Personnel Records) with associate inquiries, AR investigations, and general proactive HR advice giving, by performing data analysis and ad hoc data/query requests
- Participating in CQI and improvement efforts and supporting various project teams and HR business areas who are focused on improving HR processes related to staffing/hiring, promotion/selection, training/development, compensation, and associate relations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience designing and building MS Access databases and
- 1 year performing analyses or summarizing data.

Additional Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Sciences or Business Administration
- 2 years of experience designing and building MS Access databases and
- 2 years running reports and queries in SAP, exporting data, and performing analyses or summarizing data
- 2 years Human Resources experience (knowledge with various HR functions and how they work)
- Knowledge of Publix’s organizational structure
- Knowledge of Human Resources processes
- Knowledge of HR data sources

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above
