Join the Point-of-Sale Modernization team! As a Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will work on a highly complex, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc). This candidate will work closely with the project team and testers to ensure quality assurance activities are planned, executed, and the results are reported. In addition, the position will be responsible for the creation of automated test cases using industry-standard programming languages.

Your Impact

• Perform analysis and development of automated test cases using industry-standard programming languages

• Review project requirements, high-level system designs, and user stories

• Derive test strategies and test plans to effectively test the solution

• Provide testing leadership to the project teams to execute the test plan

• Create testing documentation to finalize testing cycles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience
• 4+ years designing automation test strategies and frameworks with Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, and .NET frameworks
• 3+ years working with enterprise data/cloud platforms (Kafka, Azure Databricks, and Delta Live Tables)
• 3+ years of experience validating data quality, pipelines, and integrations
• 3+ years creating and maintaining manual/automated test cases for web using Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira
• 3+ years automating Azure Databricks testing using C#, Python, NUnit, and Jupyter Notebooks
• 2+ years automation testing for .NET applications (UI/integration) with Selenium or Playwright in CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation during testing rounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience
• Experience with manual and automated testing of REST/SOAP/JSON APIs using tools like Postman and SoapUI
• Experience working with automation libraries such as Rest Assured or RestSharp
• Familiarity with development tools including Visual Studio IDE, Eclipse, or IntelliJ
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plans, Repos, Pipelines, and Key Vault including integrating test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
