Join the Publix Technology Team as a Software Engineer where you will play a key role interacting with teams to define and develop architecture, technical requirements, interfaces, & implementation approaches for enterprise level applications. We are seeking a technical candidate with strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills as well as strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting complex systems including gathering requirements, converting requirements to technical designs, developing solutions, and implementation while collaborating with other technical and business areas.

Your impact:
- Participate in all aspects of the Agile Scrum development process
- Develop and maintain software applications using software languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, .Net, SQL, etc.
- Collaborate with Product Owners/Leads to understand requirements and implement solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and high-quality delivery
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Continuously improve processes and suggest innovative solutions

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in software development with Agile methodologies
- 1+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications
- 1+ years of experience in one or more programming languages including .NET Core OR .NET framework 4.0+ including C#, MVC and Microsoft Entity Framework or other open source ORMs
- 1+ years of experience working with enterprise database management system (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix, Teradata)
- 1+ years of experience with React
- 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following: HTML, DHTML, CSS, TypeScript, and RESTful Web API, JavaScript, jQuery
- 1+ years of experience designing enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, UML, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks.
- 1+ year of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS)
- 1+ years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Experience with responsive web application design and development
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications running in a multi-platform distributed environment
- Strong technical understanding of data modeling concepts
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Ability to develop new applications within Scrum/Agile methodology
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with .NET MVC architecture
- Proficient in developing systems built on SQL Server 2019 using tables, views and stored procedures in SQL and maintaining the database, including requirement analysis, design, data conversion, loading and implementation.
- Experience in RESTful Service, XML Web Services, SOAP, and WSDL using .NET Framework
Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
