Join the Publix Enterprise Item Attribute and Search Team as Senior QA Engineer. This team is responsible for developing and supporting Publix’s Item Management System applications. As part of this team, will be responsible for planning testing efforts and executing on small to large enterprise level and customer-facing applications by translating functional requirements, project documentation, and release notes into test requirements and scenarios and possibility of automation.

Your impact:
• Analyze requirements and other documentation and create test plans.
• Create and execute manual test cases.
• Create and maintain test resources for solutions in Microsoft Azure
• Write and execute queries for complex retail data using SQL.
• Develop and execute test cases for regression.
• Develop and execute test cases for thorough functional testing with thorough validation of data.
• Provide inputs and guide load/performance testing and possible automation.
• Coordinate with development teams for test planning and execution.
• Documentation of functionality, dataflows, and approval workflows.
• Lead complex testing efforts that may include multiple SQA analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years’ experience conducting software quality assurance testing for enterprise applications and a thorough understanding of testing best practices.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps or other framework to create and execute test cases, track defects, and perform requirements coverage.
• 4+ years of experience in writing SQL queries on RDBMS platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc.
• 2+ years of experience testing APIs, batch jobs, and web-based front ends
• 2+ years of experience testing Cloud solutions
• 2+ years of experience data validation

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience
• 5+ years of experience with writing complex SQL queries to support test activities.
• Experience using Openshift cloud environment.
• Experience involving in load and performance testing.
• Experience with automation either as creating or providing feedback.
• Experience with any legacy to modern application or data conversion.
• Experience with any search technologies like cognitive search, solr, elastic etc.

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
