As a Purchasing Analyst in Industrial Operations Purchasing you’ll play a key role in supporting stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities by ensuring the right equipment, materials, and services are in place when and where they’re needed.
In this role, you’ll support procurement operations through a mix of analytical work, supplier collaboration, and process management. Key responsibilities include:
- Procure equipment, parts, materials, and services to support stores, distribution centers, warehouses, support locations, and manufacturing facilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert within your assigned category, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and identify improvements
- Source and evaluate supplier quotes, managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery timelines
- Manage purchase orders and requisitions in SAP, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
- Support inventory replenishment and asset disposition, maintaining balanced inventory levels and facilitating the resale or disposal of equipment as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 1 year experience in purchasing using SAP or equivalent ERP software or 2 years’ experience in customer service or analytical field or 1 year experience in supply chain/ inventory management
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Basic knowledge of Smartsheet and SAP or equivalent ERP software
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in a business-related field
- 1 year of experience in Industrial Operations procurement
- 2 years’ experience purchasing using SAP or equivalent ERP software
- 2 years’ experience using an inventory management system
- 3 years’ experience in customer service or analytical field

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
