The bench technician will troubleshoot, and repair individual pieces of equipment employed in Publix’s Support, Warehouse, and Retail locations. This could include desktop workstations, laser printers, point of sale equipment, and more. This position provides Publix the ability to diagnose and repair equipment in a cost-effective manner. The listed responsibilities may not cover all tasks, and additional duties may be assigned as required.

Your Impact:

• Cleaning and testing defective electronic equipment
• Troubleshooting electronic equipment
• Replacing defective circuit boards and electronic components
• Provide equipment parts list for new hardware
• Providing equipment service recommendations
• Effectively demonstrating and using tools such as multimeters and solder stations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electronics, or equivalent experience in an Electronics or repair field
• 1+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing electronics or other mechanical equipment.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain and excellent driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing IT equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs
• Knowledge of SAP
• A+ certification
• HP certification
• Lexmark certification

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
