Description

This position is responsible for managing highly sensitive and confidential information regarding the fire and burglary alarm security function in all retail locations in the division. Associate will also provide administrative support to the Divisional Loss Prevention Manager and Loss Prevention Specialists for the division. Additional tasks would include assisting with case and assessment management, data mining, report generation, and task management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• One-year full-time employment with Publix Super Markets or comparable retail experience, or
• One year of full-time secretarial experience, or
• Two years of part-time secretarial experience
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Access, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
• Knowledge of and proficiency with internet use
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work initiative
• Creativity
• Strong organizational skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential matters
• Ability to interact and work well with others
• Ability to be flexible and handle stressful situations in a professional manner
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule including arriving early and/or staying late to meet business needs.

• AS Degree in Business and/or Loss Prevention related field
• In-depth knowledge of Publix policy and guidelines

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
