Description
- Ensuring the accuracy of the inventory by
- Validating and maintaining all inventory data and bookkeeping records
- Coordinating cycle count and other physical inventory processes
- Understanding, reviewing and communicating inventory concerns to production management, Manufacturing Production Planning, and Manufacturing/Supply Purchasing, Assistant Controller and other appropriate management positions by
- Daily interaction with production and warehouse associates
- Investigating potential areas of concern
- Reviewing daily production schedules
- Ensuring documented best practices are adhered to
- Accepting additional responsibilities as determined by the assistant controller
- Performing any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 year of manufacturing plant or distribution experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Ability to work the Sunday after month end closes
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays or extended periods of time when asked on a periodic basis
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Have excellent safety work habits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to learn and the ability to accept change
- Ability to plan, organize and follow-through on assignments
- Strong time management, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- High level of maturity, discretion, tact and judgment
- Ability to interact with associates at all levels of the company
- Have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member)

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other analytical discipline
- 3 years of experience with SAP software
- Knowledge of accounting and operational processes within a Manufacturing environment and
- Experience with inventory record keeping.

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
