As an Intermediate Software Engineer on the Risk Management, Legal, and Compliance team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting complex systems by converting requirements to technical design, development, and implementation while collaborating with other technical teams and business areas. The most suitable candidate for this position will have a technical background with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. You must also be able to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business unit customers.

Your impact:

  • Develop, configure, maintain, and enhance various 3rd Party and .NET applications to meet business area needs as well as security requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new capabilities that meet business area needs
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with team standards using modern development practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development, testing, and production environments
  • Contribute to code reviews and team discussions to promote code quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues impacting business operations
  • Continuously improve and optimize application performance and assist in the design and architecture of software solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related analytical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, with consideration for performance, scalability, and usability
  • 3+ years of experience developing and supporting applications in a distributed or enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of contributing to the design of enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and solution frameworks
  • 3+ years of development experience with .NET framework/Core
  • 3+ years of experience coding in SQL
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver solutions
  • Experience in large enterprise environments involving multiple technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and using APIs and Web Services
  • Experience with responsive web sites and JavaScript
  • Full-stack development experience with ASP.NET
  • Experience with NODE.JS and Twilio Flex
  • Experience with project planning and system development lifecycle
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes, and Octopus Deploy
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with Azure Data Bricks and Data Lakes
  • Experience with on-call rotations and after-hours support
  • Appreciation for the importance of strictly adhering to regulations and guidelines such as SOX, HIPAA, and PCI

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
