Join the Point-of-Sale (POS) Development team! As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will work on a highly complex, fast-paced, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). As a vital team member, you will contribute to building scalable, robust, and secure solutions that will enhance the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications. You will work closely with the project team to ensure requirements are understood and turned into functional code that is peer-reviewed, tested, and deployed to our production environment.

Your Impact 

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based POS platform applications for performance, reliability, security, and scalability
Partner with BA’s and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Deliver new features to expand POS cloud platform capabilities
Support deployments, pilot monitoring, and production troubleshooting
Work with QA’s to test, validate, and release high-quality software
Stay current on emerging technologies and apply them where beneficial

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
3+ years of software engineering experience
2+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core and C#
Familiar with Git code management, DevOps Integration & Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
Familiar with implementing Cloud Data storage technologies

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications
3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core and C#
1+ years of experience with Git code management, DevOps Integration & Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
1+ years of experience implementing Cloud Data storage technologies
1+ years of experience implementing solutions with Kafka
1+ years of experience with Python, XML/JSON, YAML, PowerShell
Experience with Point-of-Sale device integration
Experience with Android or Hybrid Mobile Application Development

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
