What you’ll do
- Monitor various functions of financial reporting for fixed assets
- Update and maintain Fixed Asset records
- Assist Senior Fixed Asset Analysts with the preparation, inventory, and reconciliation of equipment
- Prepare tangible tax returns for Publix retail locations
In Publix’s corporate offices, we value in-person interactions, similar to those our store associates have with customers. Many of Publix’s corporate offices offer work from home up to two days a week. Each business area implements their policy differently and should be discussed during interviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline or equivalent OR
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline or equivalent with 2 years work experience in business related field
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Knowledge of business processes related to accounting
- Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles and policies
- Problem solving skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Basic skill level in Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and SAP
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work and recurring pre-determined deadlines
- Willingness to travel, including extended overnight stays
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and extended hours, as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or another analytical field
- 1 year of Asset Accounting experience
- Knowledge of the Publix fixed asset systems
- Knowledge of retail equipment at Publix
- Working knowledge of Publix department structure
- Basic skill level in PTMS
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Access, Outlook, and Word
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and SAP

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in December. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
