Description

The purpose of this position is to prevent refrigerated product loss, protect product integrity, reduce energy consumption and contribute to the reduction of refrigeration repair and maintenance expenses through the use of technology, analytics and problem resolution – coordinating the activities of internal and external resources.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for preventing retail refrigerated product loss, protecting product integrity and reducing energy consumption.
• Responsible for contributing to the reduction of refrigeration repair and maintenance expenses.
• Responsible for participating in improvements efforts.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• 2 years’ experience with computer software and hardware
• 2 years’ experience in a customer service field coordinating business activities, such as scheduling and vendor relations
• Sound decision making skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited technical school with courses in Refrigeration or Energy Management Systems
• 4 years’ experience with computer software and hardware with additional experience related to refrigeration alarm monitoring and maintenance management software packages
• 4 years’ experience in a customer service field coordinating business activities, such as scheduling, vendor relations and workforce management.
• Knowledge of Facility Services Products and Services
• Knowledge of the Refrigeration Contract Statement of Work as it relates to Publix refrigeration systems
• Knowledge and basic understanding of Supermarket refrigeration systems and equipment
• Knowledge of Problem Escalation Process
• Knowledge of Publix Organizational Structure
• Knowledge and understanding of company and department policies, processes and procedures
• Customer Relations skills
• Knowledge of Improvement Methodologies
• Ability to read and understand refrigeration architectural drawings
• Strong analytical skills

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
