Description

Dual Ram Baler Operators work with heavy machinery from setup to execution (set up, maintain, and operate) to ensure the continual and efficient running of production. The Dual Ram Baler Operator must ensure the machine is working at full capacity, is stocked with needed materials, is well-maintained, and performs periodic checks on output. The Dual Ram Baler Operator also performs administrative duties and executes routine maintenance responsibilities of the machine being operated.

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to work nights
• Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position)
• Be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of their body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• Be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds
• Be able to bend, stoop, and twist
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Successfully complete the following tests (before their start date in the position)
• Computation

• Be able to multitask
• Have oral communication skills
• Have analytical and problem-solving skills

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
