Description

• Coordinating dock activities for shipments to Retail stores
• Preparing the dock for shipping activities
• Inspecting the loads for damage free stacking
• Ensuring the product is adequately wrapped and properly labeled
• Verifying that the load is accurate and complete and securing the load prior to departure
• Preparing required paperwork and
• Communicating any shipping and loading opportunities to dispatch and warehouse management

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to work nights
• Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before his or her start date in the position)
• Be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds
• Be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of his or her body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• Successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)
  • Basic Office Skills
  • Spatial Reasoning
  • Following Written Instructions
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Be able to bend, stoop, and twist
• Be able to stack product of varying weights
• Be able to work under strict time requirements
• Be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• Be able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions
