Description

The purpose of this position is to be the primary support in processing and monitoring inbound receiving and outbound store shipments for Distribution and managing the startup and final daily distribution operational needs. This includes detailed planning, coordinating, and communicating with managers, vendors, and distribution associates.

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to successfully complete battery of Clerical & Microsoft Skills tests (before his or her start date in the position)
• Be able to work nights
• Be able to work a variable work schedule including holidays and weekends
• Have six months of Distribution or office experience
• Be able to multitask
• Be able to work in a stressful environment
• Be able to work independently with little supervision
• Be able to maintain confidential information
• Have organizational skills
• Have oral communication skills and proper phone etiquette
• Have written communication skills
• Have interpersonal skills
• Have time management skills
• Have problem solving skills
• Have knowledge of SAS, DALLAS, Infor, Marwood, Host and TDPS (Driver Performance) and
• Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.

• Have one year of Distribution or office experience

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
