Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain the building and property appearance according to Central Pharmacy’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with the management of supplies and recyclables. This role involves significant janitorial duties and physical responsibilities to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the appearance of the building and property in accordance with Central Pharmacy’s Sanitation SOPs, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.

  • Assist with the management of facility recyclables, production supplies, and non-production supplies.

  • Support management staff at Central Pharmacy with ad hoc facility projects, special events, and meeting setups.

  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing supplies and equipment as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (if applicable).

  • Obtain certification in forklift operations on or before the start date in the position.

  • Demonstrated productivity and ability to apply judgment.

  • Strong people and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Experience with forklifts, warehouse and/or janitorial experience
  • Proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Creole, etc.
  • Knowledge of MSDS sheets, including familiarity with filling out sheets and proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals (i.e., cleaning supplies)
  • Understanding of Publix’s health and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
