Description

The purpose of this position is to support the Category Management teams in their efforts to create and maintain planograms for the retail sub sections assigned to all stores.

• Working jointly with the Category Managers on planogram (POG) creation
• Providing support for the system tools used for responsibility #1 to maintain merchandising for all stores by serving as system subject matter experts and administrators.
• The ongoing support and logistical management of the Shelf Execution Team (SET) program
• Developing and maintaining specialized databases and reporting tools within existing packaged applications (i.e. databases, spreadsheets, other programs)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
• One year experience in retail merchandising or knowledge and experience using merchandising applications (e.g. Apollo, Pro Space, Shelf Space, Space Man etc.).
• Knowledge and experience in developing queries for relational databases (e.g. Access, SQL Server, DB2)
• Knowledge of Microsoft office products, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent skills in math, statistics, and various methods of analysis
• Analytical skills, problem solving, logical reasoning.
• Proficient in use of web-based applications and advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Time management skills
• Detailed-oriented
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• High level of maturity, particularly in stressful situations
• Strong communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a team environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays (if necessary).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an analytical discipline (e.g. Math, Statistics, Business, Finance, etc.) or equivalent analytical experience or
  3 years’ experience:
  • Purchasing department or
  • Space merchandising or
  • Retail management
• Corporate level application administration
• Analytical role including
  • Database management
  • Spreadsheet management
  • Reporting
• Knowledge of merchandising fundamentals and techniques
• Knowledge of Publix systems and applications, including PIMS, HOST, EDW, MPS, TSP, Space Optimization, and EPOG.
• Knowledge of packaged systems, including CCI, Space Planning (Apollo)
• Knowledge broker and supplier relationships as they relate to Publix

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
