In Publix’s corporate offices, we value in-person interactions, similar to those our store associates have with customers. This position is an in-person role located at our corporate headquarters in Lakeland, FL.
The purpose of this position is to lead the company’s efforts to efficiently and effectively execute administrative functions for the SVP Product Business Development.
- Executing the day-to-day functions of the office of the SVP of product business development
- Providing direction and coordination to other associates (i.e., vice presidents’ administrative assistants) in the product development department to accomplish department objectives
- Coordinating information distribution to and collection from associates within the departments
- Overseeing the overall execution of payroll procedures and completing them on the VP administrative assistants in the department
- Coordinating and planning of special events and projects
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience as an administrative assistant to a senior management position
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including professional phone etiquette and outstanding grammar and spelling skills)
- Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with and be exposed to highly confidential information and matters
- Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to make sound decisions
- Working knowledge of the operation of office equipment (e.g. copy machines and faxes)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
