Retail Set-Up Coordinator - Facilities - Pensacola

The purpose of this position is to schedule, coordinate and provide independent oversight and guidance to setup contractors to ensure safe, timely, high quality delivery and installation of all fixtures and equipment in multiple simultaneous retail construction projects including new stores, remodels and special projects. This position will also independently manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous paint and décor projects in existing stores, ensuring projects are started and completed on schedule and executed according to plans and specifications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in a construction-related course of study or equivalent level of documented construction experience
  • 3 years of experience in retail setup and/or general construction
  • demonstrated experience/knowledge of carpentry field
  • knowledge of construction industry principles and best practices
  • knowledge of blue prints, detailed construction drawings, and installation manuals
  • knowledge of basic math principles
  • ability to facilitate meetings
  • ability to organize tasks and information
  • ability to work independently and set a daily schedule to complete tasks.
  • knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and on-line document sharing
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements and methods used to achieve compliance
  • interpersonal skills
  • ability to schedule and supervise out-sourced installation contractors on multiple projects simultaneously
  • project management skills
  • willingness to travel, including overnight
  • willingness to work extended schedules as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willingness to attend industry-related courses and seminars
  • willingness to be on-call 24/7 for emergency response
Year End Bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
