Cafeteria Manager, AM - McCalla

Experience food service management the Publix way! Simply put, our cafeterias don’t operate with the competitive pressure found in the restaurant industry. You will be able to focus on providing premier customer service to your fellow associates and developing your own personal growth. Generally, work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but you will be on call 24/7 and will need to work occasional nights or weekends, depending on business needs. Your cafeteria staff is smaller than typically found in restaurants, and because Publix associates tend to stick around, you’ll get to know the associates you work with and serve like family.
Our Cafeteria Manager oversees the day-to-day activities and safe and efficient operation for all shifts and functions of their assigned cafeterias, serving between 6,000 and 15,000 meals each week.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • hiring and developing hourly associates
  • meeting operational cost plans and maximizing allocated resources
  • developing and implementing training materials and associate training
