Systems Analyst/Programmer – Finance Systems

The Financial Applications Team is seeking a Systems Analyst Programmer who will play a key role interacting with enterprise teams to design and develop solutions using diverse technologies to support financial and accounting applications. Further duties include analyzing and translating business requirements into technology solutions, performing data analysis by creating and executing complex queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Over time, the candidate is expected to become the expert on assigned applications to support project analysis, business area inquiries and mentorship of other associates. The candidate must be able to maintain a consistently large, and often dynamic work load; assist others with day-to-day direction for technical guidance; lead and manage implementation activities such as change management, implementation planning and pilot monitoring; and participate in production support activities.

The most suitable candidate for this position will have technical background with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, writing and presentation skills and one who has the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors and business unit customers

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years’ experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise applications
  • Minimum of four years’ coding experience leveraging .Net framework 3.5/4.5/5.0 with C#, .NET Core, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, object oriented design, UML, and service-oriented architecture
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with SQL
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience with responsive web application design and development
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision within a large corporate environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years’ experience supporting and developing enterprise applications running a multi-platform distributed environment
  • Experience with ORM tools (Dapper, NHibernate, etc.), front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, etc.) Kafka or other open source messaging platforms, MVC, Web APIs, Azure DevOps Solutions and Scrum/Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), NuGet package management, TFS/Git code management, DevOps Integration, DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or other container-based platform; and Cosmos DB or other NoSQL database
  • Strong technical understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure related systems client/server, workstations, servers, networks, database and middleware technologies
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines
Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 80,145 - 120,835 Frequency of Pay Monthly Hours of Work Minimum 45 hours per week. Year End Bonus As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year.
