Interactive Art Director, Marketing - Lakeland

Our Marketing team is looking for an Interactive Art Director to concept and design customer-centric user experiences and user interfaces for all Publix customer facing digital properties which include websites, mobile apps and in-store digital experiences. The Interactive Art Director leads development and design teams to produce web and app experiences that are practical, useful, delightful, and consistent with the superior customer service experiences associated with the Publix brand.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • provides strategic design and user-experience decisions to improve existing features and create new ones based on strategic business and marketing objectives
  • creates the overall user interface design strategy (the visual elements of the design)
  • directs photographers, illustrators, and Interactive Designers as required to create design assets
  • advises Brand Marketing and Channel Marketing managers on UX/UI considerations relative to their marketing projects
  • training and mentors Interactive Designers
  • reviews and approves the work of Interactive Designers to ensure work follows the user experience and user interface patterns set by the Interactive Art Director
  • reviews and approves final photography and illustrations to ensure consistency with established user interface design patterns.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Graphics/Communication field or equivalent experience
  • at least two (2) years of experience as a Designer or equivalent experience, with emphasis on User Experience and User Interface design
  • design principles, tools, processes, and techniques
  • basic knowledge of front-end development languages and techniques (HTML, CSS, Java Script, Jquery, etc.)
  • intermediate knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Mac OS
  • advanced knowledge of Industry standard design software; Adobe Design Suite, Sketch, Flinto, InVison, Keynote
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • emerging technologies and trends in digital and interactive communication channels
  • design process and digital workflow
  • basic animation skills
  • advanced skills in visual design, typography, and composition
  • skilled in wire framing and prototyping
  • excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • willingness to be flexible with working late and/or weekends and
  • willingness to travel as necessary including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Design, Digital Design, or Arts
  • four (4) or more years of experience as a Designer with emphasis on User Experience and User Interface design
  • Content and Brand Strategy
  • Publix Marketing department workflow processes and project lifecycles
  • department and company organizational structure including roles and responsibilities of key associates (contacts) and
  • Corporate and Marketing guidelines, policies and procedures.
Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 69,615 - 104,975 Frequency of Pay Monthly Hours of Work Minimum 45 hours per week.
