Industrial Engineer, Corporate Manufacturing - Lakeland

As an Industrial Engineer, you will provide guidance to Publix bakeries, dairies, deli and fresh foods manufacturing plants by analyzing production planning, storage operations and accounting functions. The incumbent will be involved with the design, installation and improvement of integrated systems and play an instrumental role in developing and supporting tactics for the Publix Manufacturing Strategy. The Industrial Engineer reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Business Delivery.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • creating and managing routings and engineered standards in SAP for all manufacturing products and production assets
  • utilizing mathematical tools and modeling to provide industrial engineering project support and guidance to manufacturing leadership on manufacturing related capacity and supply chain related capital or special projects
  • providing manufacturing leadership with capacity analysis for manufacturing’s production and storage related assets
  • providing business guidance and industrial engineering expertise to General Manager, Operations Manager and Department Managers
  • identifying and driving operational improvements and efficiencies
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • at least one (1) year as an industrial engineer or at least two (2) years providing analytical analysis or manufacturing based support with a demonstrated ability to perform exceptional process improvement work
  • knowledge of food processing technology

Year End Bonus: One month’s pay (pro-rated in the first year) if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
