DevOps - Architect

Publix is seeking a DevOps Architect supporting our teams in adopting agile development practices. The DevOps Architect will design and support continuous integration / continuous deployment pipelines, educate and provide leadership on DevOps processes and tools to application, infrastructure, and operational teams to be successful.
Required Qualifications The required qualifications for this position are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience,
  • Minimum of five years of development experience,
  • Minimum of five years’ working with source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps Server),
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI or relevant technologies,
  • Minimum of two years of systems engineering expertise, with knowledge of hardware, networking, software, applications, cloud and systems engineering,
  • Minimum of two years of supporting DevOps practices,
  • Minimum of two years of public cloud experience (AWS or Azure),
  • Minimum of two years experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible,
  • Hands-on experience with provision tools such as Terraform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and,
  • Commitment to Publix and our Mission
Preferred Qualifications The preferred qualifications for this position are:
  • Experience designing, implementing and documenting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Strong Automation skills and the ability to drive initiatives to automate processes
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy,
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications that run in Microsoft Azure,
  • Linux administration and scripting skills
  • Experience performing automated/load tests
  • Experience developing metrics to measure improvements using DevOps practices
Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 113,880 - 170,365 Frequency of Pay Monthly Hours of Work Minimum 45 hours per week. Year End Bonus As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above. Address 321 S.
