Business Consultant – Omnichannel Support, Business Analysis & Repor

The position provides analysis, direction, consultation, leadership, planning, performance measurement and specialized business and strategic analytical advisory services to the Omnichannel leadership to enable and support information-based decision-making.
It serves as point of contact for assigned business functions, managing and ensuring consistent support in both strategic and regularly recurring decision-making processes. The incumbent is a subject matter expert (SME) with broad knowledge in the field of data analytics. Areas of focus include:

  • supporting all Omnichannel initiatives such as: Delivery, Curbside, and Business Development
  • provide strategic, analytical and consultative support using APT’s Test & Learn for Customers
  • providing analytical business services, both individually and through cross-functional teams
  • supporting tactical projects, requests and other analytical needs
  • preparing and summarizing conclusions for various ad-hoc requests to support management in answering business questions
  • developing the databases, worksheets and queries for capturing and reporting useful information to enable fact-based decision making
  • utilizing varied data sources such as Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Activity Based Costing Systems (ABC), Store Accounting Tables (FINDSS), etc. and applications such as Alteryx, Microsoft Access and Excel
  • communicating with various levels within Publix, such as I/S, Marketing and Facilities, and
  • performing various other tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics or another analytical discipline from an accredited college or university or its equivalent
  • 4 years relevant business experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of Alteryx
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and exceptional math skills
  • Must be able to gather data from multiple sources and compile it in a user-friendly format, ensuring it meets customer needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods
  • Demonstrated use of advanced analytical skills (including math & statistics), problem solving skills, creative thinking, financial modeling, and forecasting skills
  • Ability to develop an understanding of new information, processes, and technologies
  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle a high volume of work accurately and timely
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master’s degree in an analytical discipline
  • 5 years relevant business analytics experience
  • Knowledge of APT platforms including but not limited to: Test and Learn for Customers, Test and Learn for Sites, Space Planning Optimizer (SPO), and Market Baskets
  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or other certifications specific to the position.
Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 64,155 - 96,655 Frequency of Pay Monthly Hours of Work Minimum 45 hours per week. Year End Bonus One month’s pay (pro-rated in the first year) if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
