Art Director, Digital Marketing - Lakeland

The Art Director develops and executes integrated creative concepts that align with creative strategy and help to establish and communicate the Publix brand expression. This includes directing video and photo shoots, illustration, motion graphics, and related digital design components. We are specifically looking for a candidate with strong video, motion graphics, social media and CRM skills and experience. The Art Director reports to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing relevant and unique concepts that support digital marketing business objectives such as Omni-channel, CRM, Social Media, and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Building or directing other creative resources to build video and motion graphics to support digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have video editing and creation experience in industry standard software such as Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry and market trends, and creative tools to take advantage of emerging marketing technologies and communication channels.
  • Working as a creative subject matter expert on cross-functional teams to help develop and execute marketing strategies and creative solutions in an agile type work process.
  • Fostering professional growth of fellow associates
  • Creating advanced Keynote presentations to support to Marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree in graphics/communication field or equivalent experience
• one (1) year experience in art direction or three (3) years of experience in graphic design
• computer skills including Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• knowledge of art direction process to effectively direct creative resources in the production process
• knowledge of design process to create mechanicals and art direct both internal and external resources in the execution of concepts
• knowledge of Marketing department workflow processes and project lifecycles
• knowledge of industry and market trends
• knowledge of digital, printing, broadcast, and distribution processes
• ability to creatively convey information in an engaging and relevant way
• ability to evaluate creative work for effectiveness against established creative strategies and objectives
• skilled in concepting a variety of visual elements (ads, brochures, posters, packaging, signs, logos)
• highly skilled in typography, layout and composition
• ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• time management skills
• effective collaboration skills
• presentation skills
• passion for delivering great work and meaningful results
• willingness to travel up to several days at a time with overnight stays
• willingness to work late hours and during weekends

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Design, or Arts
• three (3) years of experience in art direction or five (5) years of experience in graphic design
• computer skills using Keynote
• knowledge of the Publix brand and lines of business
• knowledge of Publix target customer
• knowledge of business objectives
Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 69,615 - 104,975 Frequency of Pay Monthly Hours of Work Minimum of 45 hours per week Year End Bonus One month’s pay (pro-rated in the first year) if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
