Cafeteria Team Leader - Jacksonville

  • facilitating and executing business area process changes in the cafeteria to ensure smooth transitions.

Required Qualifications
  • be at least 20 years old
  • have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
  • have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary, Hospitality, Nutritional or Business Management or comparable work experience in a restaurant or cafeteria dining setting
  • have at least three years of cooking experience in an environment where a variety of products and methods are used and minimum of six months experience in a leadership role.
  • have ServSafe or equivalent Food Safety Manager certification
  • have a willingness to travel including overnight
  • have willingness to work variable schedules (nights and weekends).
  • have a willingness to change and be a champion of change while maintaining positive outlook
  • must be driven to provide excellence in customer service

  • be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications
  • current Jacksonville Distribution associate
  • have a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Nutritional or Business Management
  • have more than three years of cooking experience in an environment where a variety of products and methods are used and a minimum of one year experience in a leadership role and
  • have Culinary or Nutritional certification
Frequency of Pay Weekly Hours of Work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Rotating Schedule Travel Frequency 0% Work Environment Temperatures could range from 0 degrees to 85 degrees F; also includes working in a wet environment. Year End Bonus To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
