Join the POS & In-store Customer Solutions team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work on moderately complex projects, cross-platform efforts with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). This candidate will work closely with the project team to ensure quality assurance activities are planned, executed, and the results are reported. In addition, the position will be responsible for the creation of automated test cases using industry-standard programming languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Design high-level manual and automated test cases based on user stories.
  • Create manual and automated test scripts and test cases ensuring they meet testing specifications.
  • Create and update automated test scripts to improve existing feature functionality and new feature development; determine automation candidates and code the automation scripts to be executed in a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipeline.
  • Execute or oversee the execution of moderately complex manual and automated tests.
  • Collaborate with the automation team members on code reviews and issue debugging.
  • Verify testing results and accurately track defects; perform feature and regression testing in Test, Staging, and Production lifecycle.
  • Participate in defect tracking and problem-determination throughout the feature development lifecycle.
  • Create and communicate effective test metrics and reports based on test execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience
  • 1+ years of creating automation test strategies and general experience writing automation scripts using industry-standard programming languages. 
  • 2+ years of experience developing testing software frameworks and developing test scripts using industry-standard programming languages (C#, Typescript (Angular), Python, and Java)
  • Experience working in a Windows environment to test applications, and interfaces. 
  • Experience writing and executing manual and automated test cases for feature sets on various applications including websites and mobile apps using Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira
  • Experience with backend ETL (extract, transform, load) test automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL query skills to write and execute queries to review/validate test results. 
  • Ability to use tracking tools for managing identified bugs and defects like ALM, Azure DevOps 
  • Experience with automation testing using Selenium, Playwright for .NET. 
  • Experience in developing and using automated testing frameworks. 
  • Experience with .NET test automation frameworks like NUnit, xUnit. 
  • Experience in manual and automated testing of REST/SOAP/JSON API using Postman, SoapUI, and Rest API automation libraries like Rest Assured, Restsharp, etc. 
  • Experience in using tools like Visual Studio IDE, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc. 
  • Experience in using Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Test plans, Repos, and Pipelines and integrating test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipeline. 
  • Experience in Azure Databricks test automation using C#, NUnit, and Notebooks 
  • Experience in using DevOps tools like Docker, GIT, Jenkins, and developing test automation frameworks for Azure cloud deployments.

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
