Description

• Supporting real estate and facilities attorneys as needed in the Legal Department
• Opening, tracking and maintaining files (both hard files and electronic files)
• Updating databases
• Preparing correspondence and drafting simple legal documents
• Performing other day-to-day administrative duties as needed in support of real estate and facilities attorneys, including typing, maintaining legal files, managing attorney correspondence, and scheduling meetings and
• Supporting the Legal Department with miscellaneous clerical tasks.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience as a secretary or administrative
• Willingness and ability to work with confidential information and maintain the confidentiality of that information
• Basic computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software systems
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality record
• Superior time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel;
• Good clerical skills including typing, faxing, transcribing, and data entry
• Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends
• Good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and to be a team player)
• Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work; and

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree in any field
• Knowledge of legal transactions and related requirements
• Experience as a legal assistant in a transactional practice
• Experience in a business or real estate related field

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
