Description

• Responsible for analyzing, auditing and maintaining OSHA recordkeeping information for retail and providing guidance to OSHA recordkeeping contacts to ensure Publix is compliant with federal laws relating to OSHA.
• Responsible for administering OSHA recordkeeping training to new non-retail OSHA contacts.
• Responsible for researching and analyzing changes in the recordkeeping standards and disseminating the information to non-retail OSHA contacts.
• Responsible for entering and updating safety codes in Publix’s claims system for retail stores.

Required Qualifications

• Must have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
• Knowledge of Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Access helpful
• Good proofreading skills and good researching skills
• Previous experience in health/worker’s compensation claims helpful
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Professionalism and confidentiality is a must
• Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of work accurately under deadlines
• Must be detailed oriented with good analytical skills
• Good time management skills
• Good human relation skills

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
