Description

The primary responsibilities for this position are:

• Enter/update store orders in IMPALA
• Maintain and post Daily Messages for the stores
• Sort and deliver department reporting and mail
• Create/update purchase orders in Marwood, Store Surveys in CHIP, ad information in PPMS, and item and vendor information in PIMS
• Resolving invoice issues in iTrade for vendors
• Communicate with vendors as needed
• Performing administrative duties to all department associates
• Work closely with buyers and other team associates
• Answering store and buyers telephone lines
• Communicate with stores regarding their daily produce orders, special orders, adjustments to orders and resolving scanning issues and
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma, or its equivalent
• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures to work efficiently, effectively, and ethically in the Publix Corporate Office environment.
• Basic skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working
• Ability and willingness to adjust one’s style or approach in response to differing circumstances or to work in ambiguous situations
• Ability to work effectively without close supervision or guidance
• Ability to self-direct work activities and take action on tasks without direction from a supervisor
• Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures
• Ability to manage time so that the priority of the activities determines the timing and amount of attention they receive
• Ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents or on the computer, such as prices, quantity, weights, lists or data
• Ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive, and productive working relationships with associates, managers, customers, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a business-related field
• 1 year experience in a retail store or in a purchasing related position
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Knowledge of the following programs:
  • IMPALA
  • Master Data for ChainTrack (Requesting Item Maintenance)
  • Marwood
  • PIMS – Project Information Management System
  • PPMS – Publix Promotion Management System
  • CHIP – Chart Item Planning system

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
The bonus for this position is 8 hours of pay when a new associate joins Publix prior to July 1.
There is no bonus in the first year for associates hired after July 1. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to 8 hours’ pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
