Description
- Performing a number of functions on a variety of industrial electrical and electronic components according to company policy; National Electric Code; federal, state, and local building codes; repair manuals; factory specifications; blue prints; schematics; and his or her own knowledge of the industrial electrical and electronic components
- Teaching and assisting other associates and
- Assisting in other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 20 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to read, write, and solve math problems
- Successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)
- Computation
- Following Written Directions
- Space Visualization
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to interpret, understand, follow and communicate instructions
- At least three years’ experience as an electrician
- Extensive knowledge of A.C. and D.C. circuits and related components
- Knowledge of the National Electric code
- Knowledge of electrical schematic and wiring diagram interpretation motors and motor controls, energy management systems, fire protection system circuits, lighting and lighting controls and the ability to use all electrical testing and measuring instruments
- State licensed
- Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to supply and maintain hand tools to accomplish daily duties
- Ability to work well with others and be a team member
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
